April 21st Owen County Amateur Radio Club Meeting
Owen County Amateur Radio Association will meet April 21st at the Christian Church of Spencer 157 S Montgomery Street at 9:00 AM.
After the meeting, the group will caravan to the Putnma County EOC for a tour of the facility.
A gathering for breakfast takes place at Chambers Restaurant 72 West Market (Across from the Christian Church) beginning at about 08:00 AM. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
April 28th McCormick's Creek Park 5 Kilometer Race
Each year the Owen County Radio Association provides security communications for the McCormick's Creek Park 5K Race. Communications will be on 2 Meters.
May 4nd Monthly Severe Weather Siren test
June 22-23th McCormick's Creek Park Arts/Park and Field Day
Each year the Owen County Radio Association provides parking communications for the McCormick's Creek Park Arts in the Park. Communications will be on 2 Meters.
In addition, the Club will be set up at the park for the yearly Field Day Exercise. See details at www.arrl.org/field-day
September 8th McCormick's Creek Park BBQ and Blues
Each year the Owen County Radio Association provides parking communications for the McCormick's Creek Park BBQ and Blues. Communications will be on 2 Meters.
September 30th McCormick's Creek Park Trail Run
Each year the Owen County Radio Association provided security communications for the McCormick's Creek Park Trail Run. Communications will be on 2 Meters.
November 3rd Owen-Putnam Ultra Marathon
Each year the Owen County Radio Association provides security communications for the Owen-Putnam Forest Ultra Marathon. Included are the 50 Mile, 50 Kilometer and Half Marathon. See www.opsfultramarathon. Communications will be on 2 Meters covering three aid stations.
