Amateur Radio Volunteer Examiner system

FCC created the VEC system to provide initial licensing examination for prospective new hams and upgrade examination opportunities for those already licensed. FCC authorized VEC organizations oversee the work of their certified Volunteer Examiners (VEs) and serve as a liaison between the exam applicants and the FCC.
The Owen County Amateur Radio Association holds four Volunteer Examiner tests each year. The dates for 2017 are April 15th, June 17th, August 26th and November 18th beginning at 10:00 AM in the basement of the Spencer Christian Church, 156 South Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana.
