Owen County Radio Amateurs Assist With County Siren Test

At noon on the first Friday of each month, if there is no inclement weather, the Owen County radio amateurs assist in the testing of the eleven severe weather warning sirens. Amateurs station their mobile equipment at each site and report to the EMA director Jack White KC9OQK the results of the test via the Spencer 146.985 MHz repeater. (136.5 Hz CCTSS tone) or if the Spencer repeater is not available, the results will be relayed via the Gosport 146.895 MHz repeater (136.5 Hz CCTSS tone.)
If you are able to participate at any of the following locations on any first Friday at noon, please contact Jim K9EOH at Home 812 828-9086 or email k9eoh@arrl.net so he may coordinate the coverage.
